The first Macondon boxers
(Macondon A-litter) were born on March 3rd 1987. From this litter came the
"Macondon Grand Old Lady" Macondon
Alabama Song
(whose father was the
English import SF CH Marbleton Stable Master and mother Dubrazas
Schwesterlein).
This line combined from the mothers side the strong English-American lines
that prevailed in Finland in the 1970s and -80s, and from the fathers side
German, Dutch and English lines.
A turningpoint for Macondon
boxerbreeding was the year 1988 when the quarantine regulations eased. The
only breeding lines were no more those that happened to be imported to
Finland or the other Nordic countries.
With the quarantine borders abolished between Finland and Europe, all the
boxerbreeders could finally turn eyes towards Europe for new
breedinglines.
In 1989 kennel Macondon imported a brindle bitch from Germany, this puppy was Kosi von Illertal. (Together with Kennel Nevicata's, that imported it's brother Kai von Illertal ).
FIN CH Kosi von Illertal became the mother of the Macondon H-litter. From this litter comes FIN CH JK-1 Macondon Hakim and FIN CH Macondon Havanna.
FIN CH Macondon Havanna is one of the kennels' top breeds; in 1996 it won
the "Best Bitch-title" at the Finnish Boxer Federations yearly
Special-show. (Judges at this show, where 165 boxers were present, was
Günter Karg and Brigitte Müller from Germany). Kennel Macondon won the
title, best breeder, with the group Macondon Havanna and it's three puppies
at this show. The father of these puppies were INT
CH Plato v.d.Hazenberg.
The second-best bitch at this show was Macondon
Iphigeneia, and a year later in 1997, it was awarded the title Best
Boxer in Estonia, at the Estonian Boxer Federations yearly Special -show.
About 100 Boxers were present at this Special-show.
FIN CH Macondon Havanna won the title Best Veteran at the Finnish Boxer
Federations Special-show in 2000. The judge at this show was Roel Venema
from Holland.
In Macondon
Iphigeneias pedigree ( Macondon
I-litter) is found a combination of the great-grandmothers
Wanjoren Mamma-Mias English-Dutch lines with mainly German Carlo v.
Henningshof and Bruno v.d. Morsbach-lines.
Macondon Iphigeneia became the mother of one of the most important Macondon litters, namely the L-litter and the father of this litter is SchH3 IP3 Nico v. Santana . ( Nico v. Santana SchH3 IP3 is also the father of Macondon N-and P-ja S-litters)
Iphigeneias puppies are the
bitches Louisiana, Larissa and the best known Macondon bitch at the moment,
FIN CH JK3 HK1 Macondon Leonora.
Larissa lives with its mother at kennel Kaivolaakson, Louisiana is the
mother of the R-litter and
Leonora became the mother of Macondon T -
litter during the summer of 2001.
Leonora has been the most prominent Macondon dog in recent shows. For
instance, in 1998, it won the title best junior at the Finnish Boxer Federations' yearly
Summer-show; at the same show it became second most
beautiful bitch as well. The judge at this show was Ginette Hufschmid from
Switzerland
A year later, again at the Finnish Boxer Federations yearly Summer-show, it
won the title Best bitch in working class and also again second most beautiful bitch
overall. The judge was this time Karin Rezewski from Germany.
Before Macondon Leonora was two
years old it was ranked second best bitch in the open class for yellow
boxers at the Atibox show in the Czech Republic. There were 29 bitches
competing at the time. Judge at this show was Dr. Iwona Magdziarska from
Poland.
